WOW!!! Absolutely incredible, Poppy. What a talented young lady. I wish I had someone to show me how to do that kind of thing. The center squares I could do, but haven't a clue how the outside stuff was added on.
Hey, wow, kalimera indeed! It's a lovely, lovely quilt. I'm so glad it's out there for everyone to enjoy. "A thing of beauty is a joy for ever, its loveliness increases..." through use (!), and time, and sharing. Thanks to you both.
dear Madcap, you have a lovely daughter and she has made a beautiful quilt. Poppy is a lucky girl indeed. i'm home from work now and thought i'd check back for a look. i'm happy i did. i have a son your age, also year of the dog as am i but 2 cycles older. i too made quilts most of which were also gifts. something that takes so much time can only be done with love and tenderness - never mind the occasional self stabbings with an errant needle. all the best and hoping the new home works out and soon
