Double Irish Chain
This is a Double Irish Chain made by the strip-piecing method. I straight-stitched with a walking foot through the diagonal, and meander-quilted the centres. I made the top a couple years ago, and finally pulled it out of the basket and quilted it this past winter. It went to live waaaay up North with Dear Deena-Anna-May. ;-) It was approximately 4' by 5.5', I think. A reading quilt if ever there was one.

this beauteous creation now resides in my humble adobe. i showed it off to my granddaughter last weekend, who also is the proud posessor of one of madcap's masterpieces, and, of course, always brings it with her when she visits. she was very pleased that each of us now had a beautiful favwitt blankie.
Wow!!! Not only is this a LOT of work, but you must go through a TON of thread too. Beautiful work!!
